Small Business Success Story - Quality Auto Care of Cazenovia

Each year the  New York Small Business Development Center  recognizes outstanding small businesses in a variety of ways.  This Success Story from the   Onondaga SBDC  appears in our  2016 Annual Report .  Jeremy Stedman   Quality Auto Care of Cazenovia Onondaga SBDC Jeremy Stedman was studying Automotive Technology at Morrisville State College when he got an internship at Quality Auto Care of Cazenovia. Owner Lyle Regan took Jeremy under his wing and eventually the internship turned into a permanent position. Lyle realized that Jeremy had something others did not - he was driven, had motivation, and had determination.  When Lyle decided to retire he offered to sell his successful business to Jeremy. After many of drafts of the business plan and financial projections with SBDC Advisor Melissa Zomro, Jeremy was ready to apply to a lender. NYSBDC Bonded Contractor of the Year – Eli Smith, So Gone Trash Removal

The New York Small Business Development Center is pleased to recognize the boldest, brightest, and best small companies and enterprising individuals in New York State.  Eight small business owners were honored at the 2017 Client Awards ceremony on April 24, 2017.  Read all their stories here. Eli Smith has been in business since 2011. His business, So Gone Trash Removal, which includes 24 employees, provides trash hauling, demolition, post clean-up on job sites and estate clean-outs – full service junk removal. They recycle as much as possible in order to promote a healthy environment today and for years to come. In 2013 he participated in the Onondaga SBDC’s MWBE Contractor training program. The SBDC provided assistance with the training and connected him with Empire State Development, as well as other local programs and opportunities to expand his business. Small Business Success Story - N.K.Bhandari Architecture & Engineering

Each year the New York Small Business Development Center recognizes outstanding small businesses in a variety of ways.  This Success Story from the  Onondaga SBDC  appears in our  2015 Annual Report .  Christopher R. Resig N.K.Bhandari Architecture & Engineering Onondaga SBDC Christopher R. Resig, became President and owner of N.K. Bhandari Architecture & Engineering, P.C. (NKB) in January 2015 after his brother Jim became ill. Chris has been with the firm for 18 years and he and his brother became co-owners in 2012. The firm acquisition was a private transaction that involved both financing by the seller and cash provided by the client. The seller also financed working capital with the client and the client secured a line of credit from Key Bank.  The sale saved 9 jobs and created 4 new jobs. Since becoming the owner, Chris has focused on growing and diversifying the business, and has been working with Advisor Joan Powers at the Onondaga SBDC on an ongoing basis
